How Larimar works

Larimar is a stone that makes you realize that you are the creator of your own life. In that sense it is a powerful stone because it removes blockages from your throat chakra, allowing you to speak out about what you want and need. In addition, it removes blockages in your subconscious so that you can more easily shape your life as you desire.

Larimar mainly works on the higher chakras from your heart chakra upwards.

Furthermore, Larimar can help you gain wisdom, Larimar is particularly suitable for learning new languages.

Larimar also has a calming effect on nervousness and intense emotions. You can put everything into perspective more easily, but also because it helps to express your truth, you can experience fewer emotional complaints.

The origin of Larimar

The name Larimar was given to the stone by the rediscoverer of the stone Miguel Mendez in 1974 who named the stone after his daughter Larissa (her pet name was Lari) and combined it with 'Mar' (which means sea in Spanish.

Although Larimar was not known in the west for a long time, it was previously discovered by Miguel Domingo Fuertes de Loren in 1916, but he was unable to continue his research into the stone.

Larimar is only found in one place in the world in the Dominican Republic, close to the village of los Chupaderos.

Rarity from Larimar

Because Larimar is only found in one place in the world, Larimar is quite rare. It is also a popular stone because of its beautiful bright blue color, reminiscent of a clear blue sea.
